Planning

Guidelines: Validations of assumptions

What is an assumption?

Any factor that, for planning purposes, is accepted as true and certain, e.g. that the relevant resources will be available

What process is followed?

1.

Identify the assumptions for each objective.

2.

Validate the assumptions one by one.

a) If they are true, they remain on the list of assumptions.

b) If they are not true, they are included as tasks in the project.

c) If they are possibly true, they are analysed as possible risks (see guidelines).
