April 2004: Approval of provisional
budget
The provisional budget for the implementation of ORACLE HRMS
is approved. This covers the full duration of the project and
includes both phases. (The first phase entails replacing the
present system with ORACLE HRMS, while real value will be added
during the second phase.)
The agreement with the implementation partner
- Oracle Consulting – has been structured in such a manner
that the University can manage the risk of costs against delivery.
A limit was placed on the budget and it was agreed that monthly
invoices would be compiled on the basis of time and materials
used. Altogether 20% of each month's invoices depend on the
achievement of predetermined goals.
